Carol completed her registered nurse training in Tasmania and since then she has worked in the acute setting for 15 years, followed by 12 years at Silver Chain, in both clinical and management roles. A sea-change led Carol to the residential aged care sector and it is there she found her true love for working with older people. Carol is passionate and committed in supporting staff, which is backed by her drive to genuinely improve the quality-of-life for older Australians.
In 2004, Carol implemented the Residential Care Line (RCL) Outreach Service. She went on to complete her Masters in Nursing (Aged Care) Nurse Practitioner.
In 2020 Carol was awarded the HESTA Nurse Practitioner of the year. Carol was recognised for her excellence in clinical care and patient outcomes, leadership, and mentorship.
