Volunteering in residential aged care

Volunteers are an important part of life at MYVISTA.

In residential aged care trained volunteers enrich the lives of residents by assisting them take part in activities and providing welcome social engagement.

Some of our volunteers share the same cultural background as our residents and are able to provide important cultural connection for them through language, music and food. Our volunteers are coordinated by the Lifestyle Coordinators at each facility who will work with them to plan how they will spend their time with residents.

Some of the ways our volunteers assist our residents include

  • Music performances
  • Craft activities
  • Cooking activities
  • Games and puzzles
  • Conversation groups

No matter what your skill set is, you will be welcomed at MYVISTA and your contribution as a volunteer will be valued and appreciated.

All MYVISTA volunteers receive prior training and support through our volunteer support partners, the City of Stirling and Umbrella Multicultural Care.

If you would like to volunteer with us please email us with your initial expression of interest here.
