MYVISTA is governed by a Board whose members combine their individual skills and expertise to form a dedicated and cohesive governing body. In conjunction with the Chief Executive Officer, the Board is responsible for strategic policy, future development opportunities and ensuring the organisation fulfills its purpose as set out in the Constitution and in accordance with its purpose, vision and values.

Management

Chief Executive Officer, Irene Mooney – MLBM: BN: FAAQHC: MACN
Irene Mooney joined MYVISTA as the CEO in 2015, following many years in CEO and executive positions within the WA Aged Care Industry both in metropolitan and rural areas.
Irene has a Masters in Leadership & Business Management and Bachelor of Nursing. She is a Fellow of the Australasian Association for Quality Health Care and Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian College of Nursing. Irene has served on many industry and organisation boards and committees for Aged Care, Health and Education.

Director of Nursing, Dr Mya Daw Sein, PhD
Whilst in Burma, her country of birth, Mya completed her Bachelor of Arts as well as gaining professional qualifications in General Nursing, Midwifery and Dental Nursing. Later Mya also achieved her Masters Degree in Public Health at the University of Hawaii.
Mya left Burma in 1993 after working as a Head of Department at the Institute of Nursing Yangon. Over the following four years she worked at Thailand’s Matridol University as a visiting professor in the Health and Social Sciences Department.
Mya came to Australia in 1997 and took on a bridging course to become a registered nurse. As a result of her cultural and religious background, Mya was attracted to the aged care industry because of its dedication to caring for elderly people with the respect and compassion they deserve.
Since her arrival in Australia, Mya has worked in a number of aged care facilities: Braille Aged Care in Victoria Park, Applecross Aged Care in Applecross, Armadale Aged Care in Armadale, Orange Grove Aged Care in Maddington and Dean and Gordon Lodge in Bull Creek as Director of Nursing. In 2007, whilst working in aged care Mya achieved her PhD at Edith Cowan University. Mya has been the Director of Nursing at MYVISTA since 2008.

Residential Aged Care Manager Mirrabooka, Emer Lawson, RN
Emer commenced work with MYVISTA in October 2019 giving her time to develop a sound understanding of MYVISTA's values, principles and ethos before moving to Mirrabooka. She used this time to prepare policies and procedures specifically for Mirrabooka and to put systems in place for this new facility. Much of her time was spent interviewing and employing staff and ensuring that everything and everyone was in place for the smooth operation of the Mirrabooka residential aged care facility which opened in May 2020.
Emer comes with years of experience as an acute surgical nurse, and for the past 12 years has been working in the residential aged care sector.
